An upcoming multi-sector international exhibition which will feature local companies and Indian and Turkish businesses to Ghana has been launched in Accra.
The event, slated for September 6-8, 2018, at the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre, will feature more than 50 top international and local brands including Sanica, Arda group, Escorts, Acme, Tiemme, Safari, Menzgold and Diamond Cement among others.
The programme, which is in association with FairAct, VeriFair and Exhibition Masters is expected to bring together global players, interested in the African market with opportunities of being exposed to the West Africa sub region.
Companies from about 15 countries in the areas of energy, construction, mining, roads, and automobile will be represented at the event.
The event is also supported by the High Commission of India in Ghana and the Federation of Indian Export Organization.
Mr. Prince Hari Crystal, the Managing Director of Exhibition Masters, said many of the companies, participating in this year’s exhibition are looking forward to strike new partnership agreements, set up production plants and also get new franchises in Ghana.
He commended the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Works and Housing, Ministry of Roads and Highways, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, and the Ministry of Information for throwing their weight behind the event.
H.E Birender Singh Yadav, the High Commissioner of India to Ghana, said his country was excited to partner Ghana in the areas of the exhibition, adding that, 65 Companies from India would be participating in the exhibition.
Mr. Carlos Ahenkora, a Deputy Minister of Trade, said the Ministry saw the exhibitions as timely as the government had prioritized the creation of jobs for the teaming unemployed youth.
He noted that the participation of international companies at the event, will present opportunities for some of them to open offices and branches in Ghana to create employment.
