Mobile Telecommunication giant, MTN Ghana has launched the 10th anniversary since the inception of its mobile payments system technology – Mobile Money (MoMo) in 2009. This was during an event organized yesterday at Madina in Accra.
Speaking to the Goldstreet Business during the event, the General Manager of MoMo, Mr. Eli Hini noted that the journey has been a difficult one, but its success can be attributed to the various customers of the company who ensured the sustainability of the system.
“When we started, most people didn’t know what we were talking about and it would have been very easy to have left it die naturally, but because of the interest of our customers, we have been able to bring the service all the way to this point”, Mr. Hini said.
