The Golden Link Savings and Loans Limited, a non-banking financial institution (NBFI) based in Accra and Kumasi has announced a partnership with poultry farmers to boost the country’s poultry industry.

Mrs. Renee Boadi-Asamoah, Head of Business Development and Corporate Affairs of the Company announced in an interview with the media on the sidelines of a durbar to mark the national celebration of World Eggs Day at Dormaa-Ahenkro in the Dormaa Central Municipality of Brong-Ahafo Region.

She hinted that the Company as a NBFI offered services not only to support and expand the poultry sector in Brong-Ahafo, but in its other operational areas-Asuofia in the Atwima-Nwabiagya East District, Kona in the Sekyere South District and Ejisu in the Ejisu Municipality in the Ashanti Region.

Mrs. Boadi-Asamoah said the Company had wide range of products and services and stressed that it was ready to assist poultry farmers and those in the poultry value chain to enhance the growth of their respective businesses.

She added that the Company had therefore created a poultry project desk at the Sunyani Office of Gemini Life Insurance Company (GLICO) with officers available to liaise with and offer necessary advisory services to farmers to address their immediate concerns.

Mrs. Boadi-Asamoah mentioned that the Company’s products and services included savings and current accounts, trust account for children under 18 years, students’ account, loans for business concerns, individuals and groups as well as salaried loans and provision of business advisory services.

She assured that the Company was willing to fund business organisations which had entered into mergers, but emphasised however that due diligence and process were strictly followed in the granting and disbursement of loans to business entities and individuals.

Mrs Boadi-Asamoah was thus emphatic that the Company was helping the poultry farmers with loans at low interest rates for their general operations to augment government’s efforts through the implementation of pragmatic agricultural programmes like the Planting for Food and Jobs to enhance the country’s poultry production.
