The Equatorial Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana has kicked off its partnership with the English Premier league (EPL), with the launch of a new consumption promotion which takes to take place from March 15 to May 31, 2019.
The promotion will witness some 15 Ghanaian consumers get a chance to watch an EPL game live in London and a further 1.5 million consumer’s will win branded souvenirs such as scarves, drawstring bags and football jerseys, smartphones and free drinks.
Speaking at the launch of the Promotion in Accra on Wednesday, the Marketing and Innovation Director, Sabina Manu made a clear indication that the promotion format is instant, with participants winning exactly what they find under the crown of 20 or 30cl Coca-Cola glass bottle product.
The promo has been designed specifically for Coca-Cola Trademark brands (Coke Classic and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar) in line with key passion points.
The Company has secured a 3-year 50ft Drink partnership with the EPL as the official beverage sponsor.
“The Company views this as an avenue to continue to engage with football lovers of the brand Coke and Sport,” Manu said. “This promotion is the first of many plans in development to excite the Ghanaian consumer and fan.”
Coca-Cola is a fervent supporter of football from the FIFA World Cup to the English Premier League, and with this partnership, it intends to bring fans closer to the excitement of the matches.
