KEK Insurance Brokers launches new logo

Multinational insurance broking firm KEK Insurance Brokers has unveiled a new corporate logo for its four subsidiaries.

The new logo introduced as part of a corporate rebranding features a red line preceded by the letters “KEK” replaces the old logo which was used by the company for 30 years.

The newlogo has been incorporated into the logos of KEK’s four subsidiaries namely; KEK Insurance Brokers Limited, KEK Sierra Leone, KEK Liberia and KEK Reinsurance.

Addressing a ceremony to launch the new logo on Tuesday, December 22, the Managing Director of KEK Insurance Brokers Limited, Shaibu Ali said the new logo will usher the company into the era of digitization in its operations.

“Companies go through various facets of life and it is necessary that at any point in time we are mindful of where in the life cycle a company finds itself. This would determine the packaging and presentation of key things like the company logo,” Mr Shaibu said.

“We at KEK believe that after 30 years in existence, our logo is matured and needs a new lease of life to take us to the next stage”.

He said the company was poised to de-cluster the insurance marketplace by further diversifying its business and remaining committed to its core values including excellence and integrity which have made it the market leader over the years.

In an address read on his behalf at the launch, the Commissioner of Insurance, Dr Justice Yaw Ofori said KEK was one of the most respected indigenous Ghanaian brands in Ghana and internationally.

“It is public knowledge that KEK is the market leader in both the insurance and reinsurance brokerage market. The company and its subsidiaries have consistently shown growth and resilience year after year. This has continued even after the unfortunate demise of its founder, May he rest in peace. I, therefore, wish to commend the board, management and staff for their dedication and hard work,” Dr Ofori said.

“The NIC, therefore, congratulates KEK Insurance Brokers and its Subsidiaries on the occasion of the launch of their new Corporate brand. The NIC hopes that the new brand will help strengthen the group to improve insurance service delivery, and do greater and better things here in Ghana and beyond”.

KEK Insurance Brokers won three awards – Insurance broker of the year, General Business, Insurance broker of the year, Life and Reinsurance broker of the year – last month at the maiden edition of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (CIIG) awards.
