Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana last Friday organised a flash mob with the official 2018 FIFA World Cup theme song ‘Colors’ by American Pop singer, Jason Derulo in support of the just ended World Cup tournament in Russia.
The French National team on Sunday emerged with the golden honors of the tournament after a 4-2 thumping of Croatia who won silver in the final game in Moscow, Russia
The move, is in solidarity to make Ghanaian soccer fans who have been thrilled by the tournament to join in Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana’s flash mob campaign to celebrate the climax of the tournament.
Coca-Cola, is by this theme song calling on Ghanaian football fans to display their dancing skills by posting videos of themselves dancing to ‘Colors’ on the company’s social media pages with the hashtag #CokeColorsGhana.
The first of the flash mob campaign which was held at the Accra Mall roundabout saw young men and women dancing with the flags of the teams that participated in the 2018 World Cup.
The Trade Marketing Director of Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana, Sabina Manu speaking to Goldstreet Business indicated that, despite Ghana not taking part in the tournament, the world cup has proven to be an unpredictable one.
Adding, it has been a rather exciting tournament with unexpected winners and seeming underdogs beating strong football nations.
“From the green and white of Nigeria to the yellow, red and green of Senegal and even the red, blue and white of France, this is what theme of our campaign “Colors” represents.
“It’s about the celebration and the beauty in football unity and we are more than happy to provide the soundtrack to the pride in supporting people from various backgrounds,” she added.
