Vodafone Ghana has held its maiden Vodafone Business Runway webinar aimed at empowering Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) with the requisite skills, insights and opportunities that would enable them to build thriving businesses.
Vodafone Ghana CEO, Patricia Obo-Nai, speaking at the event explained that the company, being the partner mobile money operator for the disbursement of the GHc600 million to MSMEs, across the country, took the decision to collaborate with the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI), to discuss what next for beneficiary SMEs, and how they can leverage technology to survive during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
She reminded participants on how many organizations are finding effective ways to digitally transform their competitiveness by reinventing back-office processes, speeding up supply chain and other human resource services using technology.
“All these are processes and efforts to win in the current dispensation and lead their respective industries in order not to be left behind” she said.
The Vodafone Business Runway, she explained, was crucial and remain relevant as platform to fashion out innovative solutions and ideas that would help SMEs to survive in this pandemic and beyond.
At the event, Vodafone Ghana encouraged SMEs to embrace and adopt modern trends to become a digitalized ‘Ready Business’ with more options to substantially increase business growth and productivity.
Other notable speakers at the event were the Executive Director of the NBSSI, Kosi Yankey-Ayeh, Dominic Kwame Adu, CEO, First National Bank and Francesca Opoku, CEO, Solutions Oasis Limited.
