The university of health and allied sciences (UHAS) oheld its 7th congregation at their permanent campus in Sokode-Lokoe in the Ho Municipality. This major event in the school’s calendar which was graced by dignitaries such as the education minister (Dr Adutwum), The CEO of the Food and Drugs authority (Pharm Mrs Delese Mimi Darko), The Agbogbomefia of Asogli state (Togbe Afede), The Volta Regional Minister (Hon Dr Archibald Letsa) among others saw more than 800 students graduating with various degrees in health related disciplines.
The School of Pharmacy also for the first time graduated their first of Doctor of Pharmacy students numbering 30.
Among the deserving Pharmacy graduates, Dr. Samiraa Mina Alhassan took home the Ginsomin excellence prize for best Project in Pharmacy whiles Dr David Nyamadi Mawuenyega took home the Mega Lifesciences Ghana Limited Overall outstanding graduating Pharmacy student.

Mega Ghana over the past two years have been actively collaborating with the UHAS School Of Pharmacy to organize drug Safety campaigns in the Ho Municipality and surrounding environs by helping the pharmacy students with essential medical supplies to enable them organize free medical screening and health education to indigenes.
Taking this existing relationship, a step further, Mega Ghana has adopted the Dean of the School of pharmacy Capstone project award in experiential pharmacy training. An award that goes to the most deserving pharmacy graduate in the area of pharmacy practice whiles also sponsoring the overall outstanding pharmacy graduate award.
These awards which comes with a laptop and a cash prize saw Dr Samiraa Mina Alhassan awarded the first ever Ginsomin Excellence Prize for the Best Pharmacy Project. The award was named Ginsomin excellence prize as the Ginsomin brand is a wellness formula which gives patients energy, vitality and a boosted immunity. This resonates very well with excellence in performance. The other one which was named the Mega Lifesciences Ghana limited award was for the overall outstanding graduating pharmacy student and this went to Dr David Nyamadi Mawuenyega.
