FBNBank Ghana has commemorated the 125th Anniversary of its parent bank, FirstBank Nigeria Limited with a pledge to replicate the institutional ethos of people; passion and partnership which has seen the bank make exceptional strides home and abroad.
In a ceremony at the bank’s Ring Road Central (RRC) Branch, to officially flag off the commemorative activities marking the milestone, the banks leadership pledged its commitment to make impact locally through the development of world class banking services that will prosper its customers and consequently mitigate the receding confidence once ascribed to the financial sector.
According to Gbenga Odeyemi, Managing Directoir/Chief Executive Officer, FBN Bank Limited, the bank epitomizes a legacy of excellence bequeathed to it by its enduring parent bank, FirstBank Nigeria Limited.
“Today is a special day as we witness the hoisting of our parent bank’s 125th anniversary flag in Ghana. Indeed, this is commemoratively being done by all subsidiaries of FirstBank of Nigeria Limited.
Simply put, the flag symbolizes the identity, impact, permanence and reverence of an institution. We are here to reinforce these and much more about FBNBank.
As a subsidiary of this long-standing institution, FBNBank has come to stay and contribute to the Nation’s development; woven into fabric of society.
“We celebrate 125 years of unbroken business operations in Nigeria; 125 years of supporting and enabling dreams; 125 years of resilience and relevance; 125 years of trust, safety and security; 125 years of long-term value to all stakeholders; 125years woven in the fabric of society and therefore, we dare to say, 125 years beyond comparison”
