The fifth edition of MTN Ghana’s ‘Heroes of Change’ initiative has been launched in Accra on November 14 with previous season winners and other notables in session.
According to MTN Ghana, CEO Selorm Adedevoh, the 5th edition follows the template of the previous edition which was a huge success adding there’s expectation this edition’s stories will move people.
“MTN Heroes of Change is about honoring individuals who make extraordinary contributions to their communities in a sustained manner. In identifying the Heroes, we would like to acknowledge the contribution of the nominees, who go out of their way to identify and nominate their heroes. Without them there will be no Heroes of change and we appreciate their effort,” Mr. Adedevoh further submitted.
The MTN ‘Heroes of Change’ is an initiative of the MTN Ghana Foundation which has proven to be one of its compelling transformational projects.
The MTN Foundation is a unit in MTN Group which seeks to have broad community participation while honouring its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) duty.

The show identifies, celebrates and supports individuals who make extraordinary contribution to their communities and the country at large.
Participants are nominated by people based on their community initiatives either in the health, sanitation, education or entertainment sectors.
Judges, Rev. Albert Ocran, Sydney Casely Hayford and Dr. Doris Yaa Dartey who oversaw the selection process for Season 5 have been retained and will steer the initiative this year and select an ultimate winner.
The 2018 MTN ‘Hero of Change’ will receive an ultimate prize of GHS100,000.00 with each category winner receiving GHS30,000.00. This is to enable victor undertake more projects and enable the heroes reach more people.
Nominations are open from Wednesday November 14, 2018 to January, 18 2019.
