…as Chairman of Baby Jet Airlines, Asamoah Gyan calls on Minister for Aviation
The Minister for Aviation, Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah today received the Chairman of Baby Jet Airlines, Asamoah Gyan who is also the Captain of the Ghana Blackstars.
The Minister who was enthused by their call on her encouraged private business men both home and abroad to cease the opportunity and come on board since the aviation industry is thriving.
The Captain said he decided to pay the courtesy call to enable him meet the Minister and also brief her on the status of their preparations towards actualizing the airline.
He was accompanied by Nana Yaw, Co-Chairman of Baby Jet Airlines and Sammy Annim Addo, Chief Executive Officer of Gyan Investments.
Baby Jet Airlines and Unity Airlines are at the fourth, out of the five stages of the certification process, awaiting validation and demonstration phase involving non-revenue flights to simulate various situations to ensure compliance to GCAA standards.
Currently, Ashanti Airlines and Gold Coast Airlines have put in applications for an Air Carrier Licence to go through the stages leading to a certification process and issuance of an Air Operating Certificate to properly situate them as fully fledged airlines capable of operating scheduled passenger service and cargo operations.
