…signs agreement with Supoman Divisional Council
The Ghana Tourism Authority has concluded an agreement with the Supoman Divisional Council in the Shama Traditional Area for the construction of an ultra-modern highway rest stop at Supoman Dunkwa.
The facility when completed, will serve tourists and the travelling public while offering the opportunity to develop the tourism potential of the area.
GTA’s CEO, Mr. Akwasi Agyeman reiterated the Authority’s commitment to projects that will enhance tourists and visitor turn-outs across the country.
He recounted several projects initiated by the Tourism Ministry and the GTA especially last year, including the rehabilitation and upgrading of the Kintampo Waterfalls, the Odweanoma Kwahu Paragliding Site, the National Tourism Call Center , the Accra Tourists Information Center and the Gomoa Assin Highway rest stop project.
Ato Panford, MP of the Area indicated that the project when completed will open up the area to more developments.
The delegation by GTA included the two Deputy CEOs, Ekow Sampson and Isaac Adomako Mensah, Ben Anane Nsiah, Manager Product Development and Investment, and Manager of Operations, Michael Kpingbi .
Nana Pansor IV, Nifahene of Shama Traditional Council and Chief of Supoman in signing the agreement, congratulated the Authority for the initiative and commended the MP of Shama, Hon. Ato Panford who led the GTA team to his palace.
