A Nigerien delegation visiting Ghana has made a stop at the Takoradi port to interact with some partners in the maritime trade.
The group also met with stakeholders in the Port business at Takoradi to discuss key issues affecting both countries.
David Songotu, representative of GPHA to the Sahelian regions, advised investors to take advantage of the Niger market and serve them well because they have the fastest growing economy in West Africa.
“It is the Ghanaian responsibility to extend the port of Takoradi to Niger. Extending the Port of Takoradi to Niger simply means that we facilitate and be sincere with our charges, so that they will be able to do their work” he admonished
The Nigerien Economic operators were taken on tour to the Port of Takoradi and later given a boat cruise where they saw for themselves the massive infrastructural development of the Port of Takoradi including the ongoing Takoradi Port On Dock Multi-Purpose Container Terminal being built by TACOTEL.
