ASA Savings and loans Ghana limited a subsidiary of ASA International as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility with support of the National Radiotherapy Oncology and Nuclear Medicine Centre department of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital has conducted a breast cancer screening for the residents of Mamprobi Business Center.
In all about 100 people were screened and four found to have lumps were advised to go for medical treatment.
Type of screening previously embarked by the company included hepatitis B, eye test, blood pressure, sugar level and malaria prevalence.
Mr. Joseph Annan, Area Manager, Asa Savings and Loans, Mamprobi, said the donation is aimed at giving back to the vicinity in which the company operates.
He said aside the provision of Loan & Savings program ASA Savings and Loans the company has incorporated a Corporate Social Responsibility programme and has allocated a substantial amount of money with an increase year on year.
Asa savings and loans has 108 Business Offices across 6 regions of Ghana and currently serving more than 163,500 clients. The company is working to reach all the 10 regions by 2018.
