Indigenous property firm, Modello Properties in partnership with Dagbo Ltd, an American property company, has announced plans to construct 20,000 state of the art affordable housing units in the next ten years.
The upcoming project will offer Ghanaians the opportunity to own and live in high quality homes with easy and comfortable payment terms spanning 15 years.
Bright Semanu Attah, CEO, Modello Properties explained that the project is in line with government’s quest to bridge the over two million housing deficit across the country.
He said, households earning a wide range of incomes ranging from low, middle and high-income earners can afford to own a home from the scheme.
“Modello Properties and Dagbo Limited Incorporated from the USA will undertake this project in different areas in the Greater Accra Region, specifically Oyarifa, Prampram and Amasaman and to other regions”, the CEO told the media in Accra.
Other strategic partners of the project include Civil Engineering Expert Limited and CREDEF Finance Company all of the USA.
CEO of Dagbo Ltd, Mr. Thomas Dagbo assured that his company is bringing on board a unique expertise to bear on the project.
Instructively, a total of 760 housing units comprising 300 villas duplex of 4bedrooms, 400 villas duplex of five bedrooms and 60 apartments of two bedrooms will begin in August this year on three sites across the country.
After the completion of the first phase in 2021, the next phase will include two bedrooms and three bedroom houses.
Cost of the houses is expected to range from US$70,000, US$150,000 and US$180,000 for two bedrooms, premium standards four bedrooms and five bedroom homes.
The project will also have a recreational centre (Gymnasium, Swimming pool, Tennis Court, Basketball Pitch among others), club House -available to residents for private functions, shopping mall- with office space for rent to residents, health centre, pre-school and a 24-hour security.
Management of the upcoming project assured that the homes will have ultra-modern water systems with a hi-tech drainage and sewage systems.
