Although he wasn’t a hugely popular rapper or musician, Nipsey Hussle‘s positive and progressive strides in his Crenshaw neighbourhood warmed him into the minds and hearts of friends, relations and observers.
So it was with great shock that many learned of the death of the man who was only in the afternoon of his life and now Nipsey’s death certificate is out showing the rapper died from gunshot wounds to the head and torso with death occurring 35 minutes after the shooting outside his store.
Nipsey born Ermias Davidson Asghedom died at 3:55pm on March 31 in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. The death certificate list his occupation as an artist and entrepreneur adding he was never married at the time of his death while working in the entertainment and real estate industries.
Nipsey was shot in plain view of a surveillance camera, and footage shows the shooter who cops believe to be Eric Holder opening fire 3 different times on Nipsey before kicking his body and fleeing the scene. Two other people were shot, but survived. The 33-year-old is expected to be buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Eric Holder, 29-year-old was brought into custody after a 2-day manhunt. The LAPD believes Holder shot Nipsey over a personal dispute.
Nipsey it’s emerged was at his Marathon Clothing Store on Sunday to provide clothes to an ex-convict friend of his who spent 20 years behind bars and had been released set to meet his family and friends later in the day.
Meanwhile mother of Nipsey Hussle, Angelique Smith On Tuesday, April 9, sent a heartfelt video message to fans speaking on the death of her son.
Among others, Madam Smith stated she stills feels her son’s spirit close by adding even though he was no longer in this realm, he is free.

“Death is something to prepare yourself for, and you walk this Earth and you do good deeds for people and you are loving and kind. Those are the kind of things that will show on your face, you will look more beautiful. Ermias looked healthy, he looked clean. He had a glow. He was radiant. And he was so radiant that he had a sweet aroma. He even smelled good. So please do not fear death. Death is just the beginning of a wonderful world. And I tell myself, Ermias like thrilling things. And now my son knows the secret to the mystery of life,” she submitted.
Nipsey’s father fled the war in Eritrea to come the United States meeting his mother who is American.
Nipsey is survived by his girlfriend Lauren London and his two children, son Kross and Emani Asghedom, from his previous relationship with Tanisha Asghedom.
