Premium Motors; authorised dealers of Renault cars in Ghana has disclosed that the Renault assembly plant is expected to be operational in the country by close of year.
Mr. Jihad M Hijazi made the disclosure at the unveiling of the 2019 Renault Duster where he submitted the cars assembled in the country will be embossed with the Made in Ghana insignia adding the vehicles will target the Ghanaian market before later moving on to the sub region.
The 2019 Renault Duster comes with features including the push button start/stop SMART System, Electric power steering, Rear parking Sonar sensors, 7″ colour Touchscreen Entertainment System as well as a 17″ diamond cut Maldives Alloy wheels among others.
The new Renault Duster sells between US$17,850 and US$22,500. Previous owners of Renault cars have the option to swap their old Renaults for the Duster under certain terms and conditions.
“The Renault is a product that offers the reliability and toughness our roads require at a very affordable price. Most importantly with the new Duster, the aesthetics have drastically improved, the reengineering has improved so you are getting an improved vehicle at a cheaper price,” Jihad M. Hijazi submitted.
Premium Motors Limited has operated over six years in the country serving as distributors of Renault cars with established sales, and service center at Atico, a suburb of Accra on the Kaneshie-Odorkor stretch.
Premium Motors Limited’s showroom also known as Renault Store cost over US$700,000 to put in shape and can accommodate up to 8 to 9 cars.
Premium Motors also has in stock, models like Renault Kwid, Renault Koleos which has a 2.5 litre engine and Renault Kadjar a 1.2 litre engine capacity.
The Renault Kwid comes in three brands, the AUTHENTIC; the cheapest, EXPRESSION and DYNAMIC, which has abridged features of the Renault Kwid brand.
The Renault Kwid car is an entry level vehicle or budget vehicle with low fuel consumption coupled with highly improved features aimed at the safety and comfort of the consumer. It has four air-bags installed and the DYNAMIC, which is the highest grade of the brand, has an in-built satellite navigation system and fully loaded extra lights.
The Renault Kwid Authentic is going for £8,300; Expression selling for £8,500 whiles the Renault Kwid Dynamic is for £9,970.
Some of Renaults vehicles come with driver, passenger and side airbags; anti-lock braking system; Bluetooth hands-free connectivity; seat belt alert; electric power steering; CD system with MP3 & USB; and central door locking system.
