Management and staff of Zenith Bank Ghana has embarked on the first edition of the Zenith Health Walk 2019 under the theme, “Go Lite with Zenith Bank…Live Lite”.
The walk, which was held on Saturday, March 30, had about 500 participants including some government officials.
Addressing participants at the event, Managing Director of Zenith Bank Ghana, Mr. Henry Oroh, said the walk was dedicated to promoting the Bank’s digital products.
“Zenith is pioneer in promoting digital products and services in the last 14 years, and this event has been organized to mainly promote our unbeatable digital products and services” he indicated.
He continued, adding “we want to encourage our customers and prospective clients to go lite with Zenith Bank through the use of the Mastercard, Visa Card, point of sale terminals, Zenith Bank global pay, global travel wallet and other services to pay for goods and services at shops, filling stations, restaurants, airlines, whether in Ghana or abroad”.
The bank is also taking the lead in money transfer services and is on the verge of launching a new product into the market in collaboration with GhIPSS where customers can transfer money into accounts from wallets and vice versa.
Mr. Oroh however said the bank, will soon make available to customers the Z-mobile to enable payments regarding travels and other businesses.
“In addition to that we have the internet banking, USSD code, ADPS and other benefits. We are deepening and enhancing digital banking” he said.
CEO, Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, Mr. Yofi Grant who was at the event, said the banking environment has been strengthened due to the positive reforms of the government and commended Zenith Bank for contributing to a strong banking environment.
The walk which covered about 5 kilometres, began from the Zenith Heights through Tudu to Kojo Thompson Road through to Ridge Hospital and back to Zenith Heights.
