A participant of the FFI Business Women Entrepreneurship programme and Proprietor of Jevals Design and Décor, Madam Jane Ankrah has advised her colleagues to eschew the practice of deceiving and disappointing their customers as it only goes to impact negatively on their businesses.
The Executive Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Small Business programme, run by the FFI Business Network under the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development, trains participants in good records keeping and customer service, financial and business planning etc.
Ankrah said participating in the programme has opened her eyes to the need to ensure good customer management to be able to keep customers delighted and loyal to her business.
“Your yes should be yes and no must be no and you must deliver on time”, she noted.
She said as a result of the new order of customer service, she has gained four new customers in the last five weeks and hopes to increase in the coming weeks.
The entrepreneur observed that since the beginning of the programme, she has also been made aware to produce quality outputs hence she pays more attention to the product finishing to be able to meet the standards on the market.
Executive Director of the FFI Business Network and Facilitator of the training programme, Joshua Mensah, said his outfit seeks to empower women to stand on their feet economically in sync with the Sustainable Development Goals.
He said, the programme also draws from the Yali4Her initiative to get more women become successful entrepreneurs.
He projects some 5000 women will be impacted after the first 40 have been imbued with the necessary skill to also go and train others.
Mensah emphasised that the unemployment scourge on the nation can only be dealt with by bringing up such micro and small businesses for them to employ others.
He hinted of the establishment of a Micro Enterprise Investment Fund to be set up which would ensure those given the skills are offered the necessary financial resources to grow their businesses.
