Fidelity Bank Limited, an indigenous bank has opened its e-lounge on the Osu Oxford Street. In attendance was newly installed Managing Director, Julian Kingsley Opuni who on officially opening up the place for business on December 18 noted the new facility is to extend bank convenience to customers.
He mentioned Fidelity was on the move to extend branch network to new places while conscious about offering quick and convenient service.
“The Osu based e-lounge has sections for unassisted service use whiles also having staff on standby to offer support should the client require it,” Mr. Opuni submitted.
The e-lounge facility will provide banks customers with various products such as cash withdrawals and deposits, cheque deposits, pass-book printing, internet banking and online trading among others with little manual intervention under one roof with Mr. Opuni noting because it’s a new initiative, staff will be on hand to help clients adjust to the automated system.
Fidelity’s new campaign dubbed the ‘Switch and Smile’ rewards clients with roll-outs such as securing a loan and beginning payment after three months, get a 15 percent discount on electronic product purchases upon use of ATM cards for online transactions, earn points when international remittances come through for recipients with clients standing the chance of taking home Samsung Galaxy s9 phones, fridges, cooking blenders, TV sets, thanks to a partnership with lifestyle partners.

According to Mr. Opuni, Fidelity is working prudently, “to become a top three bank from its location as top five bank” adding despite a good number of indigenous banks having gone under in the banking crisis, “Fidelity will be one of the reasons people will regain trust in Ghanaian banks.”
Divisional Director of Retail Banking at Fidelity, Nana Esi Duncan Ahkurst submitted Fidelity having exceeded the minimum capital requirement of the central bank was aiming to grow better adding with 70 branches, 1500 agent points and 120 ATM stationed across the country, Fidelity hoped to become a household name targeting the youth, professionals and families.
Fidelity had operated an Osu branch and closed it temporarily but bank managers say, a vibrant street such as the oxford, needed Fidelity to offer round the clock service to clients who party through the night till dawn.
In session for the Osu Oxford branch opening were chiefs from the Osu Traditional Council, Papaye Restaurant’s Managing Director, Mr. Asiedu; Cadling Fashion CEO, Linda Ampah and other notables. Mizter Okyere offered entertainment with his sax.
