The 16th International Building Construction and Property Exhibition (IBCPE) has been slated for October 4-6, 2018 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.
The exhibition, organised by the Image Consortium Group International (IC Group International) in collaboration with Ministry of Works and Housing will host a number of indigenous and foreign companies to trade in various building materials and products.
Minister for Works and Housing, Samuel Atta Akyea is expected to deliver the keynote address on the theme; ‘’Innovative Technology: Smart, Secured, Construction’’
Speaking at a stakeholder forum in Accra, Thursday September 20, Mr. Eric Houadjeto, Board Chairman of the Group, told Goldstreet Business the event is aimed at shedding light on the building and construction industry especially in areas pertaining to quality of construction, building regulations, land acquisition and registration.
‘’The main agenda is to have a very purposeful exhibition where there will be lots of partnerships and dealerships generated in the building and construction sector,’’ he said.
He further outlined the event will hold seminars and workshops amidst the sale and marketing of building materials and other products in the building and construction industry.
‘’We are expecting some 83 exhibitors both local and foreign and we have about 10 companies coming from Austria this year, 7 from Turkey and a host of Chinese and Italian companies also,’’ he added.
According to him, it is estimated that 4,000 visitors will grace the 3- day event that promises to be exciting.
Some stakeholders who interacted with Goldstreet Business expressed optimism that the event would meet their expectations and address key issues of participants.
Some collaborators of the event include the Ghana Institute of Architects, Institute of Engineers, Institute of Surveyors, Institute of Planners, Ghana Real Estate Developers Association and the Chartered Institute of Builders.
