The award recognised Pharmanova’s impressive contribution to the development of Ghana within the context of New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD) and international trade.
The Ghana-Africa Business Awards was set up to honour institutions which make significant contributions to the development of Ghana’s economy through trade promotion, investment and other economic relations between Ghana and its development partners.
The Managing Director of Pharmanova Limited, Mr Dhananjay Thripathi, who picked the award at the ceremony held at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel, said he was delighted and added that: “We at Pharmanova are committed to improving the quality of people’s lives by providing innovative healthcare products which are not just affordable but also meet highest quality standard. We will continue to set for ourselves the highest standard of business ethics and customer services.”
He said the company had the experience and the technology in manufacturing, as well as the capacity to deliver innovative products, which had made it one of the most valued companies in the pharmaceutical sector.
According to him, the company had also completed the installation of machines for the manufacturing of suppositories; and that made it the first pharmaceutical company in the West African Sub-Region to produce them locally.
Pharmanova Limited was incorporated as a limited liability company in May 2005 and has over the years been among the leading manufacturing and distribution companies in Ghana.
The company is focused on manufacturing and delivering innovative and high-quality products which include a broad portfolio of prescription, as well as ‘over-the-counter’ medical pharmaceutical products in important therapeutic segments.
