The Sukura ‘2’ Business Centre of ASA Savings and Loans has organized a free health screening exercise for customers within the Sukura, Kaneshie Zongo Junction and surrounding communities.
About 200 customers who benefited from the exercise, were screened of various ailments and conditions including blood pressure (B.P), hepatitis B, sugar level, breast cancer and malaria.
Mr. Joseph Kweku Annan, Area Manager of the Sukura ‘2’ Business Centre of ASA Saving and Loans said, the gesture was in line with the company’s quest to ensure that customers are positively impacted regarding their health and wellbeing as they continue to do business with the company.
He noted that the exercise is part of ongoing free health screening by the company across the country in all operational areas.
“As far as we exist as a company, we would continue to consider the health and wellbeing of our customers as paramount and necessary to the survival of our business,” he said.
Speaking at the exercise, Dr. Godwin Abayaruk, who supervised the screening, said it was important that people pay special attention to their health in order to avoid impromptu and emergency health breakdown.
“The commonest ailments and conditions we mostly diagnose during these exercises are malaria and blood pressure, which is on the rise. It is necessary to regularly visit a health centre to once in a while to conduct a health check in order not to have any surprises ”, he said.
During the screening, ASA Savings and Loans also donated free mosquito nets to all customers who were screened at the event.
